You have reached the cyber home of Willoughby United Methodist Church. We're glad you stopped by. WUMC has been faithful to the call of being God's people since 1818.

For those many years Willoughby Methodists have been making, maturing, and ministering to disciples of Jesus Christ and mobilizing them to share God's love with the world. We have inherited this legacy. We want to pass it on.

If you are in the area, please stop in for a visit. You will receive a warm welcome. Be sure to let us know that you received this invitation through our website.

Summer Camp Car Wash Fundraisers

There are some excited young children looking to attend summer camp this year and they need your help. We are planning to have two car washes on the following dates:

Saturday, May 23 and Saturday, May 30.

The car washes are taking place in the church parking lot from

9:00AM until 12:30PM.

Volunteers---we are in need of buckets, car washing soap, sponges, brushes for car tires, and loads of clean soft towels. Spare clothes may be needed after the event. Remember the market is on that day so we will need some volunteers to simply hold signs to advertise our efforts! Volunteers and children should be there at about 8:15 to help set up for the car wash.

East Ohio Camps have wonderful opportunities for children to enjoy throughout their various camps. We hope to have a productive car wash so that we can split a good amount of fundraising money amongst each child attending camp. So, if you are planning to send your kids to camp get ready to have a few Saturday mornings of Splash Tastic Fun making money for a great cause: Making Kids Smile. Cars will be washed for donated proceeds so you can help even if you don’t have kids to send to camp or better yet you can step up and help us wash cars.

"Town Hall Meeting" June 11th

A “town hall meeting” is planned with Mr. Steve Thompson, Superintendent of Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools. He will be sharing information and will be giving a brief overview of the changes in facilities, as well as the upcoming bond issue that is going to be on the ballot in November. If passed, the funds generated from the bond issue will be used to build two new high schools, one new elementary and make significant renovations to all buildings in the district.

We are offering this discussion to make available to you the chance to learn, discuss, ask questions and gain first-hand information to hopefully assist you in making an informed and educated vote come November!

Seeking Servants to Help!

We know what an important ministry this is to both the smallest of our church family and their parents.  We have graduated many of our Toddler Room volunteers to college, new jobs and new locations.   So as they say in football, we are in a rebuilding year and are seeking refreshed volunteers to help this ministry soar. We need new volunteers to be the hands and feet of Christ with the smallest of His children.

We want to provide childcare for children 4 years old and younger during our variety of worship services and classes.  I do offer training specifically for the Toddler Room so that our children and families can have a consistent experience through a variety of care givers.  You will not be alone, we have 2 people in the toddler room for each shift as stated by our Child Protection guidelines.

Please click the button below to register to serve as the Hands and Feet of Christ with our youngest generation.
